Mineralogical Properties:Pink opaque calcite is the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate. The shade can range from pale to vivid pink. It is found in Bulgaria and Peru. Trace elements (such as: iron, magnesium, manganese, silicon, and strontium) cause color variation in calcite.
